Hi all,
As some of you know Art Club and the Art Department are working on the
possibility of taking a trip to Washington DC in the Spring. Through talks
with people it's decided we'll be shooting for the time frame during the
cherry blossom festival on a weekend leaving Friday and returning Sunday.
This means one of these three weekend:
March 30th - April 1st
April 6th - April 8th
April 13th - April 15th
We're hoping for the weekend of April 13-15 because there is a parade and
Japanese street faire on the 14th and the closing ceremonies in the morning
on the 15th... which would provide events and festivities to engage in when
not in the museums.
We have not done a trip of this size before and so we need feedback from as
many of you as possible in order to make this happen.
Please Answer these questions as completely as you feel comfortable. You do
not need to answer all questions however the more information you can
provide us the better we can survey the situation. Your information is
confidential.

that you'd be willing/ able to go?
3) How much would you be willing to pay to go in this trip?
(We plan on fundraising etc... this is simply to estimate how much fund

people?

c) Do you have religious, moralistic, or personal issues regarding co-ed
rooms?
d) Would you prefer to share the room with the same sex, co-ed, or it
doesn't matter?
e) Do you smoke? Would you be smoking indoors?
f ) Are you a morning person or a night person?
6) If more fund raising meant that the trip would be cheaper/ free, how much
fund raising would you be interested in doing?
7) a) Would you be willing in helping write grant proposals?
b) Do you have any experience writing grant proposals?
8) Some grants mandate specific forms of documentation.
a) Would you be willing to take pictures on the trip and present them at
an event opened to the public upon return.
b) Would you be willing to write a short reflective paper about the trip
upon return.
9) There are consent issues which arise when leaving the state with someone
who is legally a minor.
a) Are you over 18? Will you be by April 12th?
b) If not would your parent/ guardian be willing to sign a permission
slip.
10) Revised campus policy states: On extended trips, substances use such as
drinking is permitted as long as all individuals within said room are over
the legal age.
a) Are you over 21? Will you be by April 13th?

11) When walking through the museums and around Washington, would you prefer

If you can answer those questions and get back to me as soon as you can that
would help to get the ball rolling.
