Hello folks,

First off, I'd like to thank the four dedicated art club members for coming to this week's meeting, Jessie, Kristin, Tina and Mike. Kudos to you guys. For the rest of you, I would definitely come to the meeting in two weeks, because we're going to be discussing a lot of cool stuff.

For instance, KU is having their NYC Art Bus trip March 1st, and we should definitely go. I'm definitely going, so go and get your tickets at TM 1 behind Lytle NOW, or believe me, they WILL sell out. We were also planning for the Sunday after the NYC trip to rent one of the vans and go to Philadelphia to the Art museum. I know that's a lot of art for one weekend, but as for Philly, who said we have to spend the whole day in the museum? ;) Time and stuff for Sunday will be discussed at the next meeting.

I would also like to inform you all that John cannot fulfill his duties as President so I have been promoted. So, please email me if you have any questions, or concerns. Mike Bricker is now VP, Kate Santee is still Treasurer, and John will be mascot now along with Drew. I believe Jessie is secretary, is that right? (Let me know!)

Another hot topic is the speaker the Art Club is hosting to speak here at KU. His name is Elahi Hasan and he has a great story about his artistic journey, but I will tell it to you at the meeting (I don't know ALL of the details currently, but I will be emailing him). The day he is speaking, we get to spend the morning with him, he can look at our work and I was thinking of going to lunch with him perhaps at the APD so we can talk about art and stuff.

That'd probably happen around noon since that's when I have class til, but all other details are up in the air. Keep your calendars open for March 31st, though, when he will be here. '

IMPORTANT FOR YOU! If you are interested in going to Philly, PLEASE reply to this email. Just say, "I'm in," or something, so I can get a quick tally on who wants to go. It's probably be from mid-morning to late afternoon, like 5 or 6. Details to be discussed, but please send me an email if you're interested.

That is all folks. See you all in two weeks, on February 4th!

Thanks,
Laura
