BALDWIN EARNS SPOT ON AP LITTLE ALL-AMERICA SECOND-TEAM

KUTZTOWN, PA – Kutztown University safety Michael Baldwin (sr.
Philadelphia/ Dobbins Tech) earned a spot on the 2005 Associated Press
Little All-America second team.

	Baldwin is KU’s first AP Little All-American since Pete Mendez also
earned second team honors in 2002.  The AP Little All-America team is
made up of players from NCAA Division II and III schools, as well as
from the NAIA.

        Baldwin started all 10 games for KU in 2005, and finished fourth
on the team with 61 tackles.  He blocked five kicks, including two
punts, two field goals, and an extra point. He had two interceptions,
nine pass breakups, forced a pair of fumbles and recovered two others.
He returned one fumble for a school-record 98 yard TD against Clarion. 
        The honor is the latest in a lengthy list of post-season awards
for Baldwin.  He has previously been named the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Defensive Player of the
year, first-team All-PSAC East, first-team Daktronics All-Northeast
Region, second team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America, and
first-team Academic All-District II.  
        In his career, Baldwin appeared in 38 games.  He had 203 career
tackles, 24 pass breakups and three interceptions.

        The Golden Bears, under eighth year head coach Dave Keeny,
finished the 2005 season with a 2-8 overall record and posted a 2-4 mark
in PSAC East action.
