EAST STROUDSBURG, PA - East Stroudsburg senior All-America QB Jimmy Terwilliger and WR Evan Prall gave the Warriors a memorable senior day in a 56-16 win over Kutztown at Eiler Martin Stadium Saturday afternoon.
Terwilliger passed for eight touchdowns, five to Prall, to tie the NCAA all-division career record for TD passes with 148. He tied Justin Perry of Division III Westminster (Mo.). Terwilliger finished his four-year career with 14,350 career passing yards, among the most ever in college football history. The 2005 Harlon Hill Trophy winner completed 18-of-27 passes for 327 yards on the day.

Prall tied the single-game Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference record for TD catches, while establishing new PSAC records for career touchdown catches (50) and receiving yards (4,093). He finished the day with seven catches for 101 yards.

Doug Ogdon had five catches for 118 yards and a TD, while Sam Shuman and Joe Partridge also had TD catches. Matt Brunetti rushed for 106 yards on 18 carries.

For Kutztown, WR Elfren Quiles set the Golden Bears' single-season record for TD catches with two scores to bring his 2006 total to 12. He had seven grabs for 99 yards. Kyle Spotts was 14-of-20 for 174 yards and TD before leaving in the second half with an injury. His backup, Shane Martin, was 5-for-10 for 67 yards and a TD, while also rushing for 67 yards.

The Warriors racked up 525 yards of total offense and were not forced to punt in the game. The Golden Bears tallied 396 yards of their own and punted just once, but had a bad snap on another punt attempt and turned the ball over four times.

ESU marched 53 yards on six plays to open the game, with Terwilliger and Prallconnecting from 25 yards out.

Kutztown answered, driving 77 yards on 14 plays. When the drive stalled at the ESU eight, KU had to settle for a 25-yard field goal by Steve Sandberg.

ESU went 71 yards on nine plays on its next possession, capped by a four-yard score from Terwilliger to Prall. A high snap on a punt attempt led to a turnover on KU's next downs, giving ESU a short field. Terwilliger took advantage, hitting Shuman from 23 yards away five plays later for a 21-3 lead.

After a KU punt, the Warriors came up empty for the only time until late in the fourth quarter, missing a 30 yard field goal. The miscue seemed to give KU momentum. Spotts completed four-of-5 passes, including a 31-yard TD strike to Quiles to set KU's single-season touchdown reception mark. He passed three other players with 10 scoring grabs.

ESU, however, struck again quickly. Terwilliger and PRall capped a three-play, 59 yard drive that took just 27 seconds with their third TD connection. Then, after a Spotts interception, the Warriors went 24 yards on five plays, with Terwilliger and Prall hooking up yet again from five yards out for a 35-10 lead.

ESU scored twice in the third quarter, both after Kutztown turnovers. After a fumble, Terwilliger hit Ogden with a three-yard score. Following an interception by Nate Artinger, Terwillger found Prall for the fifth time, this a six-yarder to make it 49-10 with 2:17 left in the third.

Kutztown scored its final touchdown on a 10-play, 71-yard possession. Martin ran for 20 yards and was 3-for-3, hitting Quiles for a 10-yard TD with 11:57 left in the third. The PAT was blocked.

Terwilliger came out for one final drive, marching the Warriors 70 yards on four plays, capped by a 19-yard shovel pass to Partridge to tie the NCAA TD record.

KU senior WR Brett Harbach had five catches for 46 yards, while senior TE Jason Henley had four grabs for 75 yards. DT Scott Smith and senior DE Mike Grosso had seven tackles each. Senior LB Dan Chominski had six hits.

Eight other seniors played in their final game for KU, including offensive linemen Dustin Woodward, Randy Chilcoat, Rick DiStefano and Raymond Yannuzzi; LBs Carl Thomas and Brian Burke, WR Larry Baumgardner; and DB Akil Boucaud.

KU ends the first year under head coach Raymond Monica with a 4-6 overall record, 2-4 in the PSAC East.
