Kutztown’s Brian Bingnear named Daktronics All-America

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University safety Brian Bingnear (sr. Boothwyn/Chichester), of the football team has been named to the 2007 Daktronics, Inc. Division II All-America second team.

	Bingnear was one of 52 players selected to the Daktronics first and second teams, in voting conducted by the sports information directors at Division II football playing instutions.  Bingnear earns his second career All-America honor, the first from Daktronics.  He was a third-team selection by the Football Gazette in 2006.  
	
This season, Bingnear led the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference in tackles with 118 total and 71 solo. He averaged 10.7 tackles per game and had four interceptions and five pass breakups.  

The 6-0 safety was previously named first-team Daktronics All-Northeast Region and All-PSAC East In 2007.  Last season, in addition to his Football Gazette honor, Bingnear was a first-team All-PSAC East and second-team Daktronics All-Region pick.

Kutztown was 5-6 overall, 2-3 in the PSAC East this season.
