CRESSMAN NAMED TO ESPN THE MAGAZINE'S ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT FIRST TEAM

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University senior linebacker Tom Cressman
(Sellersville/Pennridge) has been named to ESPN The Magazine Academic
All-District II First Team honors.

Cressman, who was named to the second team last year, has a 3.70 GPA as an
accounting major. As a first-team all-district selection, he will be
included on the ballot for the Academic All-America team, which will be
announced on Nov. 29.

The four-year member of the Golden Bears' defense is second on the team in
tackles with 87 and has two sacks. He also has two interceptions and three
fumble recoveries. He will look to add to his career-high statistics
Saturday when KU (4-6) travels to Millersville for the 1 p.m. season finale.

The District II College Division consists of all NCAA Division II, NCAA
Division III, and NAIA colleges and universities in Delaware, the District
of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. To be
eligible, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.2
cumulative grade-point average and a starter or significant reserve on his
or her team.
