WEST CHESTER, PA – Osagie Osunde ran for two touchdowns to lead West Chester to a 21-0 win over Kutztown in PSAC East football action Saturday night.

            Osunde scored on runs of 1 and 24 yards. He finished with 88 yards on 21 carries.   Dean Millard scored the other Ram TD, a 1 yard plunge.    WCU’s Bill Zwaan was 17-of-29 for 290 yards. 

            The Golden Bears committed four turnovers.  WCU’s Mike Mignogno intercepted Kyle Spotts in the end zone as time expired in the fourth quarter as KU attempted to avoid being shutout for the first time since a 12-0 loss to Bloomsburg in 2005.  KU also muffed two punt returns, both being recovered by the Rams.

            Kutztown’s defense kept the Golden Bears in the game.  KU limited the PSAC East leading Golden Rams 14 points below their season average.    KU also picked up four takeaways, with interceptions by Tom Cressman and Cory Porrino, and two fumble recoveries.

            KU’s Elfren Quiles, a week after setting a school record for receiving yards, was limited to 6 yards on one catch.  He faced double coverage in the first half, before being sidelined with a knee injury for most of the second half. 

            Spotts was 19-of-41 for 185 yards.  Dan Onorato had five catches for 60 yards.  Jason Uhlig, Quiles backup, had three grabs for 46 yards.  Dontay Wilson ran four times for 36 yards.

            The Rams’ D’Andre Webb returned the opening kickoff to midfield.  The Rams marched 50 yards on five plays, capped by Osunde’s first TD from 1 yard out.  Millard capped a seven-play, 42-yard drive with a one yard run early in the second quarter for a 14-0 lead.

            The Rams capped the scoring on Osunde’s 24-yard run with 10:23 left in the game.
