CRESSMAN, DINNIS NAMED PSAC EAST PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University's Tom Cressman (sr.
Sellersville/Pennrdige HS) and Ty Dinnis (so. Doylestown/Central Bucks West)
have been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern
Division Defensive and Offensive Players of the Week, respectively.

 

            The pair earn the award for their efforts in Kutztown's 35-13
win over Clarion on Saturday.  

 

            Cressman intercepted a tipped pass and returned it 23 yards for
Kutztown's first touchdown of the game.  The linebacker finished with 10
tackles, including three for loss of 15 yards and a sack for four yards.

 

            Dinnis tallied 239 all-purpose yards The running back totaled 58
yards rushing on 13 carries while adding four catches for 45 yards.  Dinnis
also returned three kickoffs for 127 yards and two punt returns for nine
yards.  His 56-yard kickoff return in the third quarter set up a touchdown
score.  Dinnis also had two catches for first downs on the Golden Bears
final scoring drive. 

 

            Kutztown is 1-1 on the season.  The Golden Bears return to
action on Saturday with the home opener against Shippensburg.  Kickoff is
set for 3:05 PM at University Field.
