KU MAROON & GOLD FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGE SET FOR THIS SATURDAY

KUTZTOWN, PA - The Kutztown University football team will provide a preview of the 2008 season this Saturday, April 12, with the annual Maroon & Gold Scrimmage at University Field.

            The Golden Bears, under third-year year head coach Raymond Monica, are coming off a 5-6 season in 2007.  KU returns 16 starters and 56 letterwinners from last year's team, including All-PSAC East selections OG Darrell Martin (sr. Stroudsburg/Stroudsburg), TE Dan Onorato (sr. Malvern/Malvern Prep), RB/return specialist Dontay Wilson (jr. Stamford, CT/Stamford), safety Mike Gardier (jr. Dunmore/Dunmore) and punter Ryan Nye (sr. Bernville/Holy Name).

            The scrimmage is set to get underway at 1 p.m. and admission is free.
