We have moved the (4) 8' tables up to 218 (thanks Tim for helping me move them). The 181 tables are appropriately labeled (yellow tape) and the 218 tables that are in good condition are labeled with blue tape. As a reminder, please try to keep the similar labeled tables together. 218 has dollies with blue tape for the good blue marked tabled (tape) and the others are just to store the usable tables. Also, please continue using the spray bottle in the table closet to wipe down the tables in 223, 218 and 250 if needed. Also, you can ask a custodian for more cleaning fluid/rag when it is needed. If the stage is requested to be cleared, please store the MML in the green room or if need be the storage room. I've noticed the portable screens can be set up a little better. The bottom of the screen should be raised up to either the first notch or one foot from the tripod. Leaving the screen at the bottom (at the tripod) when raising the top of the screen will cause wear and unevenness in the screen. It's basically an acetate sheet with a paper under it (to be later fitted with graphics and usable info) that goes on the sound controls for 1-4 in the house system. There is a dry erase marker and eraser in the sound panel to write down what input is hooked up to what mic and also what the sound control level sounds the best (say 12 o'clock position). Let me know what you think of it when you use it. We do not need tape with this upgrade in place. If this is successful, I will implement this on the mixing boards in 183, 218 and coffeehouse. In next week's BA meeting, I'll go over how to print a test page. It's really easy: 1. Take the printer offline by pressing the GO button 2. Press right on the Menu button to get to the "Information" menu 3. Press right on the Value button to get to the "Print Config" menu 4. Press the Select button to print out the two configuration pages Some important information is on the config pages including how many pages have been printed and also network information. For example, if the printer isn't printing, you can check the second page to see if there is an "ip number" assigned. If there isn't a number assigned, then the network isn't communicating to the printer. The next step in trouble shooting will be printing out a test page on the other page, trying to print and finally calling IT x31511. The USB cables are now ganged together with a Velcro strap used for the mic cords and the cords are also labeled. As discussed earlier, plus include the USB cable and the remote. Unfortunately, the older projectors do not have USB ports but they do have PS/2 ports. The PS/2 port is not always compatible with current laptops and sometimes removes control of the touchpad. Due to this complication, please do not include the PS/2 with the VPU setup. The MML can be stored in the green room or the storage area (if green room is used). For movies, please put the MML to the side of the stage by the rails so it is inconspicuous. Production is using the MML to show the AxisTV advertisements prior to movie showings. Since no one will be on stage, this setup is acceptable. Otherwise, if an event that usually needs the stage cleared (Sunshine players, etc) please store the MML in the greenroom. For production events, please store the MML (unless called for) in the green room. For special exceptions, a note will be written in the operations information in the setup book. We are looking into purchasing new chairs for the multipurpose room and also keeping the good existing chairs for special event us. We are also looking into new chairs for the Bear's Den. Mike has approved of a new table location outside the north entrance by the green bike bollards. Diane is representing this as Sales and Solicitation Table E (since the tables are no longer in the lobby). Two folding chairs go behind the table next to the bike bollards by the wall. Please keep in mind egress, or walkway/travel accessibility. Where to get the table: the designated table will be in the MPR closet and will not be stacked. The legs will be marked with red and green tape and folding chairs will be next to the table. 322 Credenza (lobby area outside 322) Please keep the coaster, dry erase markers/erasers, PC speakers and the conference phone locked up in the cabinet rather than the shelves.
