font-family:Arial'>MPR Chairs! That’s right, we got some new chairs in
218! These chairs are similar to the chairs in the cub café and are green. Your
votes do matter and your votes were for green “is what we got” (Sublime
riff, please). These chairs stack easy and are easier to line up a row since
the legs are flush rather than staggered like the old chairs. The challenge is
the storage of these chairs. The chairs will most likely be able to be stored
in the closet of the MPR WITH the existing wooden chairs (approx 255 of them).
There will be diagrams on the door how to arrange the chairs for accessibility to
both types of chairs. The wooden chairs will be reupholstered and used for
banquests and special events while everything else will be for the new chairs.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>We received two new printers for the computer lab and will
be receiving a new table for the printers. The printers are set up on a “printer
pool” meaning that a print job can get sent to any of the printers. These
printers also use different toner then the old printers. Another note is the
printer/paper usage form will now disappear as it is easier to track the usage
from our end.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>AMX upgrade in the Alumni Auditorium. There were some small
changes in the AMX system in the auditorium. The first being the casters on the
lectern have locks in the front, so you can use your foot rather than crawling
under the lectern. We also are using a new battery in the touchpanel, coupled
with a cleaning of the programming code allowed the system to be more reliable.
Hitting “PC” will turn on the projector and change the display to
the PC. The default for the projector is the PC. If the VPU is turned on
manually, you may need to wait 30 seconds to control the unit (it thinks it’s
warming up). Yes, I put in work orders for the egress lighting that is out…<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>The construction in room 250 is underway to install a
floating ceiling including a built-in screen and built-in VPU. The VPU is as
bright as the MPR’s VPU and considering how much smaller the screen will
be; it should be very bright! <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
