Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a very happy holiday and New Year.

One of my New Year's resolutions was to get this listserve going and hopefully will get some replies.

I have attached an announcement for a dialect writing contest for Kutztown Folk Festival to be held this summer. If any of you (or students in your classes) want to enter that would be great.

I also want to continue to encourage you to write about your experiences teaching Pennsylvania German-- both how and why you started and also in terms of your specific experiences with what does and does not work in terms of teaching the language. I am hoping to be able to include these articles in an issue of Der Reggeboge.

Finally, I think we need to discuss what to do to make this listserve more useful or at least more used.
