BRANDON EARNS PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University volleyball player Sarah Brandon (sr. Gibsonia/Pine-Richland) was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week.  

Brandon led the Golden Bears to a 2-0 week.  The opposite hitter recorded a season high 28 kills in a PSAC East title clinching victory over East Stroudsburg last Wednesday.  She followed that up with a 14 kill performance in a victory over Philadelphia on Thursday.  For the week, Brandon tallied 42 kills, nine digs and six blocks.  

On the season, Brandon has played in 96 games and leads the team in kills with 415.  She has also contributed 113 digs and 125 blocks. 

The Golden Bears finished the regular season with a 23-6, 9-1 PSAC East record and were crowned Eastern Division champions.  Next, they travel to Lock Haven to take part in the PSAC Championships and will take on either California (PA) or West Chester on Friday at 5:00 PM.
