KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY WRESTLING ENTERS THE 2006-07 SEASON RANKED

KUTZTOWN, PA - The Kutztown University wrestling team will begin the 2006-07 season ranked #20 according to the October 31st NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association poll. 

            The Golden Bears have two wrestlers ranked individually, in voting conducted by the region's coaches.

            Chris Chambers (so. Pottstown/Upper Perkiomen) is ranked sixth at 149.  Last season, Chambers finished with a 19-17 record and received a national bid after finishing second at the NCAA East Regionals.

            Kevin Kalbach (sr. Downingtown/Downingtown) is ranked seventh at 157. Kalbach ended 18-7 last year and earned his first national bid after placing second at the NCAA East Regionals.

Kutztown starts the season on November 18 at the East Stroudsburg Invitational.
