THREE GOLDEN BEARS NAMED ALL-PSAC IN FIELD HOCKEY

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Three Kutztown University (KU) field hockey players were named to the 2006 All Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Teams.  

 

            Midfielder Laura Belfatti (sr. Hatfield/Lansdale Catholic) was named to the first team for the second consecutive season.  On the year, Belfatti started all 20 games and scored five goals, while dishing out three assists.  

 

            Forward Kelley Healey (so. Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) was named to the second team for the second season in a row.  Healey started all 20 games and led the team in goals (18), game-winning goals (3) and points (40).  She also had four assists.

 

            Defender Courtney Geibel (so. Mifflintown/Juniata) earned second team honors.  For the season, Geibel started in all 20 games and led the team with four defensive saves.

 

            The field hockey team finished the season with a 10-10 overall, 5-9 PSAC record.
