KELTY NAMED TO ALL-REGION FIRST TEAM

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University soccer player Kim Kelty (jr. Levittown/Neshaminy) has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCCA) All-Northeast Regional First Team.

 

Kelty, a forward, started 20 games this season and was tied for the team lead in goals with five and led the team in assists with four and points with 14.  In her three year career she has played in 63 games, scoring 14 goals and assisting on 17 others.  This season, Kelty was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) first-team for the third consecutive season.  Previously, she had been PSAC East and KU Female Rookie of the Year.  This is her second all-region honor, having been named to the second team last year.  

 

The Golden Bears finished the season second in the PSAC East with a record of 10-8-3 overall, 7-3-2 in the PSAC.  In the playoffs, they made it to the conference semifinals for the third consecutive season after defeating Shippensburg, 1-0, in the quarterfinals.
