KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY FIELD HOCKEY TEAM RANKED #5
 

KUTZTOWN, PA - The Kutztown University women's field hockey team is tied for fifth in the first release of the STX/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division II National Coaches Poll.  

 

KU is tied at 82 points with Bentley College.  Bloomsburg is ranked #1

 

The STX/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll is voted upon by NFHCA member coaches.  The poll has no bearing on selection to the 2006 NCAA Division II Championship field.  

 

The KU field hockey team got the season started with a loss, but rattled off four consecutive wins including the last three at the Joshua W. Wesner Memorial Tournament at Kutztown University.   At 4-1, the Golden Bears host Slippery Rock on Wednesday, September 13.
