DENLINGER IS PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK FOR THIRD-STRAIGHT TIME

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - For the third-straight week, Kutztown University's Steph Denlinger (so. Harleysville/Souderton) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week.

 

            Denlinger continued her hot streak at the plate in a 3-1 week for Kutztown.  She rapped out seven hits in nine at bats (.778 avg), popping three home runs and a double.  Her on-base percentage of .857 was aided by five walks, three intentional, and she also added five RBI.  

 

            Through 27 games played, Denlinger is hitting .447 (34-of-76) with 33 RBI and 12 home runs.  Adding seven doubles to the mix, Denlinger has a whopping 1.013 slugging percentage (77 total bases in 76 at-bats).  She has scored 31 runs and walked 16 times.

 

            Kutztown is 19-13, winners of 10 of its last 11 games.  The Golden Bears are in Indiana (PA) for a doubleheader Monday, before returning to PSAC East action at Shippensburg on Wednesday.
