DENNIS NAMED TO DIVISION II BULLETIN ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM



KUTZTOWN, PA - Stephen Dennis (fr. West Chester/Henderson HS), Kutztown 
University's point guard on the men's basketball team, has been named to the 
NCAA Division II Bulletin All-Freshman team.



            Averaging 35.9 minutes per game and starting all 28 games for 
KU, Dennis helped fuel the offense with 15.4 points per game. He dropped in 
a career-high 28 points against District of Columbia on Feb. 21. Dennis 
scored more than 20 points in six games, while shooting 47 percent from the 
field.



            He made 32 percent of his three pointers (16-of-50) and 78.5 
percent of his free throws (106-of-135). As the team's point guard, Dennis 
helped the offense by dishing out a team-high 90 assists.



            The 6-foot-4 frosh also made his presence known around the glass 
by grabbing 6.0 rebounds per game.



            Previously, Dennis was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic 
Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division and KU Male rookie of the year.  He also 
earned second-team All-PSAC East honors.



            Kutztown, under the direction of head coach Bernie Driscoll, 
finished 17-11 overall, 6-6 in the PSAC East last season.
