DENNIS NAMED PSAC EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University's Stephen Dennis (fr. West Chester/Henderson) of the men's basketball team, has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Rookie of the Week. 

            Dennis closed out the regular season by averaging 24.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.  He made 63.6% (21-of-33) of his field goal attempts.  He scored a career high 28 points against the University of District of Columbia and notched 21 in the final regular season game against East Stroudsburg.

            A starter in all 27 of Kutztown's games this season, Dennis averaged 15.2 points, 6.0 rebounds per game and led the team with 88 assists.  Dennis was named PSAC East Rookie of the Week eight times this season.  A KU rookie was named 11 of the 13 weeks.

            Kutztown finished the regular season with a 17-10 overall record and 6-6 in the PSAC East.  The Golden Bears are the #2 seed in the east and hosts #3 seed Cheyney tonight in a PSAC Quarterfinal match-up.  Tip-off set for 7:00 PM in Keystone Hall.
