FOYE, WISEMILLER EARN CONFERENCE ROOKIE HONORS

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Max Foye (fr. Mountaintop/Crestwood) and Rachel Wisemiller (fr. Hazleton/Hazleton), of the Kutztown University basketball teams, have been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Rookies of the Week.

 

            Foye hit 4 of 7 shots on his way to eight points in KU's men's win over Penn St. Berks on Wednesday.  He also grabbed a season-high seven rebounds and dished out a pair of assists.  In nine games played, Foye is averaging 5.0 points and 2.4 rebounds for the Golden Bears.  KU is 9-2 entering this weekend's PSAC crossovers at Indiana (PA) and Clarion.

 

            Wisemiller scored in double digits for the first time with a team-high 13-point effort in KU's women's 71-34 victory against Penn State Berks.  Wisemiller connected on five of eight field goals and three of four free throws.  In nine games, Wisemiller is averaging 2.4 points and 2.0 rebounds for KU. The Golden Bears are 4-7 and will travel to Indiana (PA) and Clarion this weekend.
