KU's SEAN BONIFAS NAMED PSAC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University's Sean Bonifas (jr. Lancaster/Hempfield) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week.  

 

            In Kutztown's first event following the winter break, Bonifas won three individual events and took part on Kutztown's winning 200 medley relay team.  His top showings in the 100 and 200 breast, as well as the 200 IM, propelled Kutztown to a 176-83 win over Albright.       

 

            Bonifas has qualifed in three events for the PSAC Championships February 21-24.  His season best times of 1:00.34 in the 100 breaststroke, 2:18.09 in the 200 breast and 2:03.27 in the 200 IM all came at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in December.

 

            Kutztown returns to action this Saturday when it travels to Bloomsburg.
