DENLINGER NAMED PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

 

KUTZTOWN, PA - Kutztown University first baseman Steph Denlinger (so. Harleysville/Souderton HS) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week.

 

            Denlinger, who earns the award for the second-straight week, hit .467 with 11 RBI and three home runs during KU's 5-0 weekend at the Salem (VA) Tournament.  She established the school's career record for homers (25) in just her second season.  She finished with five runs, three doubles and a 1.267 slugging percentage.

 

            In 23 games played, Denlinger is hitting .403 (27-for-67) with 28 RBI and nine home runs.  KU is 16-12 on the season and opens PSAC East play at East Stroudsburg on Friday.
