KUTZTOWN SOFTBALL SELECTED TO HOST REGIONALS

INDIANAPOLIS - The Kutztown University softball team has been selected as host of the 2007 NCAA Division II Mid-Atlantic Regional, Thursday May 10-Monday May 14, at North Campus Field.

The Golden Bears, ranked #2 in the latest Mid-Atlantic Regional Poll, will host the tournament for the first time, pending its selection to the field.  The official tournament selections will be announced Monday, May 7.

Lock Haven is ranked #1 in the region.

Kutztown is serving as host to the PSAC Softball Championship Thursday-Saturday.  KU advanced to the winners bracket to face Lock Haven on Friday at 2:30 PM with a 6-1 win over East Stroudsburg on Thursday.
