WESNER NAMED NFHCA REGIONAL COACH OF THE YEAR

 

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University field hockey coach Betty Wesner has been
named the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II South Region
Coach of the Year.

 

                Wesner, who was previously named the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference (PSAC) Coach of the Year this season, led the Golden
Bears to a 17-5 record, including an 11-2 record in the PSAC. Kutztown
qualified for the conference and NCAA Division II championships, advancing
to the quarterfinals of both tournaments.  

 

                This is the second NFHCA regional coach of the year award
for the 28th-year head coach.  She first earned the award in 1997.  She has
a 292-217-15 record in her career.
