HEALEY, BELFATTI, FLOWERS NAMED ALL-AMERICANS 

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Three members of the Kutztown University field hockey team
were honored as All-Americans by the National Field Hockey Coaches
Association, which released its postseason awards Monday.

Kelley Healey (jr. Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) was named to the 2007
Longstreth/NFHCA Division II All-American First Team, while teammates
Jennifer Belfatti (jr. Hatfield/Lansdale Catholic) and keeper Sam Flowers
(sr. Harleysville/Souderton) were selected to the second team.

Healey, who as a second team member her freshmen and sophomore years, had
her best season as a Golden Bear, collecting her third straight
40-plus-point season with 17 goals and a single season school-record 14
assists. Healey's 48 points this season put her career total at 131, placing
in her second all-time in school history and 31 behind KU's leader Lisa
Marrella (1986-89). The junior forward is also second on the all-time goals
list with 52, which is 20 behind Marrella. Healey is in third in assists
with 27.  Six of Healey's goals this season were game-winners at KU finished
17-5 overall and 11-3 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, as the
Golden Bears qualified for the NCAA playoffs.  This is her third selection
to the All-America team, after earning second-team honors in her first two
season.

Belfatti played strong in the midfield for KU, scoring two goals while
helping the defense pin down its opponents.

Flowers finished the season 16-4 in the cage, recording a 1.49 goals against
average and three shutouts.

Seven of the 16 players chosen to the first team and 10 of the 16 on the
second team played for PSAC universities.
