McQUADE NAMED PSAC EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK 

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Kutztown University's Melissa McQuade (fr.
Pittsburgh/Shaler) has quickly made her mark in the Pennsylvania State
Athletic Conference by winning the East Division's Rookie of the Week award
Tuesday.

McQuade scored eight points and collected a game-high 15 rebounds in KU's
season-opening 56-55 win over Bloomfield Friday in the Golden Bear Classic
at Keystone Hall.

In the second game of the Golden Bear Classic, a 58-46 loss to Holy Family,
McQuade scored eight points and had six rebounds.

McQuade had four assists and three steals in KU's two games last week.

Since winning the award, she hit a career-high mark Tuesday with 19 points
in KU's 87-72 win at Columbia Union. She also pulled down eight rebounds.

McQuade was a standout player at Shaler High School in Pittsburgh, Pa.,
scoring 1,240 points in her four years as a Titan.

McQuade and the Golden Bears (1-2) will be back in action at 6 p.m. Nov. 29
against the University of the Sciences at Keystone Hall.
