McQUADE, DENNIS HONORED BY PSAC 

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - Stephen Dennis (so. West Chester/Henderson), of the Kutztown
University men's basketball team, and Melissa McQuade (fr.
Pittsburgh/Shaler), of the women's basketball team, both were honored by the
Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tuesday.

McQuade scored 19 points, while making 8-of-14 shots from the field in KU's
87-72 win over Columbia Union, to claim her second straight PSAC East Rookie
of the Week honor. She hit three 3-pointers and grabbed eight rebounds in
the win.

Dennis, who led the Golden Bears to a home-opening 77-70 win over Wilmington
last week, was named the PSAC East Player of the Week. He scored 18 points
and hit four consecutive free throws in the final 44 seconds to seal the
victory against Wilmington. He also had eight rebounds, five assists, four
blocks and four steals.

He was honored by the PSAC six times last season as the conference's Rookie
of the Week. Following his freshman campaign, he was named the PSAC East
Rookie of the Year.
