KU WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RANKED NO. 1 IN EAST REGION 

KUTZTOWN, Pa. - The Kutztown University women's cross country team, coming
off a first-place finish at the Maroon and Gold Fall Classic Saturday, moved
up to No. 1 in the USTFCCCA Division II East Region rankings.

The KU men, who finished second at the classic Saturday, are ranked No. 8 in
the East Region.

Stephanie Williams (sr. Harrisburg/Riverside) took first overall in the
Maroon and Gold Fall Classic with a time of 24:08, and teammates Joanna
Horstmann (jr. Downingtown/Downingtown West) and Kristin Cupido (fr.
Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) finished in second and third,
respectively.

The men were led by John Pyne (jr. Harrisburg/Bishop McDevitt), Pat Bone
(sr. Doylestown/Central Bucks West) and Ben Loht (so. Lewistown/Indian
Valley) who finished fifth, sixth and seventh.

KU will be back on the course at the Iona Meet of Champions, slated to start
at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22.
