SOFTBALL RANKED NO. 10 IN THE LATEST NFCA POLL
KUTZTOWN, Pa.- The Kutztown University softball team has moved up eight spots in the National Collegiate Fastpitch Association Division II softball poll from No. 18 to No. 10.
The team is coming off a week in which it went 7-1, highlighted by the doubleheader sweep of then No. 8 at Bloomsburg University (5-1, 2-1).
Overall, there are three nationally ranked teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC). National runner-up Lock Haven is ranked No. 2, KU is ranked No. 10, and Bloomsburg now sits at No. 18.
KU (32-6, 9-1) hosts both Bloomsburg and Lock Haven in the coming weeks, with Bloomsburg coming to town on Friday, April 18, and Lock Haven visiting KU on Tuesday, April 22.
KU will next host West Chester University in a doubleheader on April 11 at North Campus Field. The first pitch is slated for 2:30 pm.
