"This is a testament to all of the guys who have played baseball at KU," Blum said. "The players are the ones who got the 200 wins, I had little to do with it."

Mike Kacelowicz and Darin Gorski led the way against Cal. Kacelowicz was 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Gorksi pitched a complete-game, allowing three runs on 10 hits with 10 strikeouts.

Kutztown took the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Garrison Rausch hit a one-out single, then advanced on a stolen base and wild pitch. He scored on Mike Dugan's RBI single.

KU needed extra innings to defeat Fairmont State. The Golden Bears took a 2-0 lead in the first on an RBI double by Mark Renda and an RBI grounder by Rausch. In the 10th, Jeff Kistle hit a one-out single. After advancing on a sacrifice, he scored on pinch hitter Matt Kulbacki's RBI single. Rausch was 2-for-4, while Renda was 2-for-5. Philip Rummel got the win, pitching 2.2 innings of scoreless relief. Derick Reis went the first 7.1 innings, striking out nine.
