Athlete of the Week

Ashley Singer - W Swimming
(so. Lititz/Warwick) 

         Ashley Singer, of the women's swimming team, is this week's KU Student Bookstore Athlete of the Week.  Singer set school records in the 200 (1:55.72) and 500 (5:09.20) free at the PSAC Championships this weekend.  Singer was also a part of the 800 free relay team that set another new school record (7:55.15).

Last Week's Action

MON 2/13 - Barton 3, Kutztown 2 - Barton defeated Kutztown, 3-2, with a walk-off home run in the ninth inning.  Mike McCardell (jr. West Chester/Henderson) went seven innings on the mound, striking out five in the no decision.  Philip Rummel (so. Exeter/West-Mont Christian) was the losing pitcher, tossing a scoreless eighth before allowing the home run. Ryan Loper (jr. Boiling Springs/Cumberland Valley) was 2-for-3, while Josh Fink (sr. Hatfield/North Penn) scored both of KU's runs.  

Barton 8, Kutztown 2 - Barton  downed KU, 8-2.  KU scored twice in the second inning on a single by Nate Kranz (fr. Silver Spring/Cumberland Valley) and an RBI groundout by Matt Jones (so. Lititz/Warwick). Loper was the losing pitcher, going five innings while allowing just three hits and two earned runs.
